SOOOO MAD AT FH

ok last night fh told me that his friend(who is very competative, with everything FH does he has to try and out do him) was asking him about my ring(size , price where he got it and all that fun stuff) A**hole FH tells him...

i'll put it to you this way, we got new cell phones together he want out to get the next more expensive version for him and his g/f..
Same thing with cars, clothes... everything...

i told him he better not tell him anything about our wedding plans... i'm not trying to be mean or anything it just makes me sooo angry that FH doesn't get that his friend is not really a friend.

FH is telling me i should take it as a compliement.. HELLO how is this a compliment he is taking all of our ideas and making me feel like whatever we does isn't as good as what we do.

Also when it comes his time to get married he will have unlimited funds unlike us we are doing everything ourselves w/ some but not much help from our parents( her parents have money and they spend it on whatever she wants, it amkes me sick).

to top it off i don't even think he really loves her i think it s realtionship out of comfort and security.

sorry ladies i had to vent

I would just ignore him he is obviously an a$$. Who cares is he has to get all the better stuff from the way it sounds I bet they'll get a divorce when it's there time to get married

I think he's envious of your FI relationship with you. so he's in a way trying to copy it, while trying to look like it's better. Let him spend his money(or hers) on materialistic Bulls**t, who cares. Having to copy cat someone is a sign of insecurity. Soundss like your FI 'friend' has a big problem!!!! Good Luck.

i wish i could ignore him... he is fh 'best friend' they do everything together..( i think only b/c we are his only friends who are a couple)

i agreewith this. i totally feel that when people who are 'friends' begin to compete with each other - its not about the 'things' that you have or what better they have - its that they are jealous of something they cant get, so they try to outdo you in ways they can. odds are - you got a great relationship with FI and are not a miserable person worrying about what everyone else is doing, and you appreciate what you have. and if thats the case - you've been blessed. look @ it as these people just have something to prove.
