Re: Honeymoon Question for Sept. Brides?!?

we're taking a chance and going on a cruise. They only other tropical place is Aruba which is safe for the most part from rain and hurricane season.

Re: Honeymoon Question for Sept. Brides?!?

We're taking our chances and going to Sandals in St. Lucia. They're a bit off the hurricane path, even though it's still in the caribbean. That's not saying anything. But Sandals gives a full hurricane insurance policy.

A bit of an incentive.

We've been to Aruba and it's BEAUTIFUL. But a bit windy for me. So we wanted to choose somewhere different.

I tried to convince FH to go to Sandals because of the hurricane guarantee....his reponse was: will they guarantee you'll survive? such a party pooper. Glad you are getting to go....have a great time.

Re: Honeymoon Question for Sept. Brides?!?

FH is getting his bonus next month....that will dictate what we can afford.

Dream: Italy
More realistic: Aruba

He won't do a cruise. So damn difficult.

Well... I did some research, not that that guarantees ANYTHING. I mean look at what happened in Mexico this year! So... I actually talked to people that live in St. Lucia about it. (yes, I went a little overboard) and talking with them made me feel MUCH better about going there. They really never get it. BUT... like I said, there IS NO GUARANTEE!!.

I mean, there's a chance with ANY place you go. That's just the breaks you get when Mother Nature's pissed off!

Good luck with whatever decision you make. I'm sure that your honeymoon will be magical no matter where you go!

Re: Honeymoon Question for Sept. Brides?!?

We went to Aruba for our HM and loved it. There were some hurricanes brewing in the Caribbean but we were not affected at all. Bright and sunny the whole 10 days we were there. It is outside the 'Hurricane Belt'
