Rp from 06- nightmares-maybe the 07 ladies have some advice

I have been having trouble sleeping for the past week or so. I lay in bed and fall right to sleep, but toss and turn, and wake up 6-8 times during the night. So now I have these ridiculous bags under my eyes, my dark circles are getting very very black, its just very unattractive.

So anyways last night it happened...not one nightmare, but two..feel free to analyze, laugh, whatever, when I woke up this morning I was very freaked out, then I thought it was funny, but now I am wondering why I had these dreams, am I stressed out over the wedding?

Nightmare 1: My ceremony starts at 1:30, and it is an hour drive from my house, I slept in late, and woke up at 1230. The church is over an hour drive from my house. I showered put my hair in a sloppy bun, and went to the church. I was late, and the priest yelled at me, and then I walked down the aisle in my snowman pj pants

Nightmare 2: I wake up on the morning of the wedding, and my dress is still at the store. I am busy getting my hair and make up done, so I send my father to pick up my dress, and he comes back and its not my dress, he has someone elses dress, so I send him back and he comes back again with another dress, my dress, but my dress is full of burns and holes and its too big. With no time left we go to the church, and my burnt holey dress falls down and I flash everyone in the church. Fh walks off the alter, and out the door.

I am scared to go to sleep tonight!

Just relax. From everything I've read, it's pretty normal to have dreams like this before the wedding... after all, it's a huge change in your life, and weddings themselves can be very stressful. We put so much into making the day perfect... so of course you'll be worried about things going wrong!

So, just take a deep breath and let yourself laugh a little - after all, the image of walking down the aisle in your snowman pjs is pretty fabulous!

wow. I know how you must feel. When I have something big worrying me, I can't sleep. I usually don't have nightmares but I can't sleep. You have to keep telling yourself that everything will go well. No one's going to let you sleep late and your dress will be perfect.

ETA: your wedding is still 9 months away! I can't believe the nightmares start this early. I thought maybe a month or two before. Oh boy.

Don't think I'm crazy but maybe you should try something relaxing like meditation or tai chi? I just figure it will help maybe relax you and keep you calm since you still have a ways to go.
