With no MOH how should I go about finding the BM dress?

With no MOH how should I go about finding the BM dress?

I have 5 bridesmaids and no maid of honor (I didn't want to choose one). How should I go about looking for dresses? 3 of my bridesmaids are in NY, but one is in NC and the other just had a baby in PA...when do you guys think I should start looking for dresses and do you think I should ask all the girls that can make it to come along??? Would that be too many opinions?

Pick a date, throw the suggestion out there, whoever can make it, can come and pick what they like, see what's comfy, and then you suggest it to the other ladies.

I only went with my BM and MOH to pick out dresses, found one that they both liked, and then the other girls didn't have a choice....

Remember, it's very generous to allow BM's to PICK a dress...every wedding I've ever been in - the bride PICKED the dress.

Thanks Christine! I have about 4 dresses in mind that I showed them via a BM newsletter...but I have gotten no feedback, which is probably a bad sign? The dresses are really nice too!

You can't please everyone - I would pick a dress that makes you happy since you are the bride. I ran into this situation with my BMs and I've just given up on trying to make them happy. It's my day so I'll pick what I want.
