Makeup/Hair for Bride only?

Will it be possible for me to find someone to come to my house if I am the only one getting hair and makeup done? I might be able to get my mom to do it with me although she is 100% against getting her makeup done, because she says they make older women look like corpses I think she might do it anyway if I get a trial too, but will makeup/hair folks be okay with only two of us?

From the vendors I've spoken to, I've only found one so far that's willing to come for just the bride - that's Mia from Bridal Lounge. She does MU and Hair. I have a hair trial on 1/16 w/her, and Jess (CaMacho) just had a MU trial with her as well.

Even the MU artist that I found, requires the bride, plus two additional people....two of my BM's want to get their MU done - I said fine!

Oh, my mom also insists she doesn't want someone to do her makeup, but I'm going to MAKE her get it done...

Mya from Cosmetic Artistry will also do Hair and Makeup for the Bride only. That's what she is doing for me. And she is very reasonably priced.

ETA: I don't think she airbrushes - just regular makeup. I have pics in my community album if you want to check them out (trial makeup pics and I had my epics the same day to see how the makeup looks on film)

I booked both Jennifer Ziegelmeier for hair and Jill Harth for makeup just for myself, and they both don't have a minimum of people they require.

If you would like their quotes, please FM me. Jill is on the expensive side, but she does do airbrushing.

I had the same challenge and ended up booking Jillian of Gorgeous Faces for makeup. I posted the same question here and several people recommended her, so I did a trial and she was great. For hair I didn't do a trial yet, but I decided to go ahead and book Sarah Rock, with whom Jillian usually works. I'll be the only one getting hair or makeup.

I had previously talked with 1-2 others who do makeup for the bride only, but only within a certain distance. Easiest thing is just to call a few and see what they tell you. Good luck!

It all depends on where you're located too. Oksana came to my locations, which is Queens/Nassau border for just me. (She's located in Queens. I know if someone is further out on the Island she would need another person, vice versa for someone further out.
When I first started looking I think Mary Katz, etc. are further out East and wouldn't travel all the way into me for just me.

It's a PIA, but totally understandable and you might have to take that into consideration too if someone posts a name and the vendor won't make it out to you, but will or did for that person.

You may also want to check w/ Denise from Angel Eyes...she is coming out to us for just me & my MOH....

For hair I decided to goto a salon b/c I even posted on the vendor board for hair for just me & no one replied.

But I'm also getting ready out on Exit 66 off the LIE...

If you need someone to come to your house, my sister is a hairdresser and does up-dos for brides & BM's as well. She is great and I am not saying that because she is my sister. She will come to you house too, but she does not do make-up. She does know someone though.
