Re: How is Russo's On the Bay for a wedding?

it depends what you are looking for, for example one wedding at a time. it can also depend on how much you want to spend and your budget. call up places you like and see if they have your date available, if you have one in mind.

good luck! there are lots of people to help you on here.

Re: How is Russo's On the Bay for a wedding?

I went to a wedding there and overall, it was nice. However, it took FOREVER between courses and we did not eat dinner until midnight. I have heard this complaint before about Russo's. The food was good but not good enough to wait that long!

I have heard nothing but Raves about the food. There are many 07 brides getting married there. I think you should post the question on that board.

Re: How is Russo's On the Bay for a wedding?

I am SOOO *not* a food person but even I will tell you that generally you leave Russo's 5 lbs. heavier than when you walked in because of how good the food is and because of how much they serve.

Re: How is Russo's On the Bay for a wedding?

I'm going to Russo's next month for a 50th anniversary party...it will be the same set up, same food..cuz you arent really allowed to change the menu.
I live very close to Russo's and I've been there a lot of parties, no complaints, food is great...Their cocktail hour blows everyone out of the water-

Re: How is Russo's On the Bay for a wedding?

As you could see i'm also a Russo's bride and I can honestly tell you that they put on one of the best weddings in all the 5 boroughs. The amount of food that you get at the cocktail hour is unbelievable and most importantly the quality of the food is exceptional. I have been to Russo's many times and I never once tasted anything that I didn't like. After your guests are stuffed on all the food from the cocktail hour they get to choose from 11 entrees and the venetian hour is amazing. You will have everything from chocolate fountains, to NY pretzels, fresh waffles, zeppoles, doughnut machine, ice cream cart etc etc etc. We're getting married 7/7/07 and we officially booked a few days ago so if i were you i would schedule an appointment with a Banquet Manager to make sure your date is available. If you have any questions feel free to FM me. Good Luck!

Re: How is Russo's On the Bay for a wedding?

The food at Russo's is the best 'wedding food' I have ever had. DH's family has a huge sons of Italy function there every year. The only thing (no flames, please!) is that it is very busy, with lots of weddings coming and going. This year one bride had a hard time trying to get in the door, have photographers take her picture, all b/c the entrance was just so busy. I think my BIL accidentally stepped on her gown, too! As for food and service, though, this place is wonderful. The cocktail house is absolutely amazing.

Hi Laura!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! any cousin of Jackie's is a cousin of mine

Go with Russo's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IMO, the best place for a wedding..I would of had mine there, but to many family affairs havbe been held there so I wanted something different. We picked Floral Terrace because IMO, they are up there with Russo's as far as what they offered during Cocktail Hour, dinner entree's and Viannese Hour!

Good Luck!
