JAPANESE HAIR STRAIGHTENING
Hi Ladies,I made an appointment for Japanese Hair Straightening next Sunday! I'm so excited!
I have a question though - How much do you think I should tip? The procedure is 600 dollars and will take about 6 hours (I have long, thick hair)....
TIA!

Don't spend $600!!! I have had it done three times...in fact the third was last week. Go to Hair Village in Woodside. It is only $150. They do like 50 a day. They are much more experienced than other salons even though it is very disorganized. You just walk in...no appointment. But I would try to go on a weekday. The hair village is where all the girls from the north shore get it done. Do a search...I have posted before about it on here.

Re: JAPANESE HAIR STRAIGHTENING
i agree. $600 is steep! you could use the remaining cash on something you would also really love. any chinese salon has the japanese hair staightening available. every time i go there's alwyas women getting their hair done like that. i know the chinese salons aren't exactly posh but for the difference in price...

I went to Hayato in Manhattan and i have long thick hair and they only charged me 260. 600 is too much. Thats how much it used to be when it first came out!!!
