I considered putting Let's Get Loud on my do not play list b/c I am tired of hearing it at every wedding. I didn't include it b/c I'd heard my band play it and liked the way they did it. I didn't request it, I just didn't mention it. I don't know whether they did it but I don't care because I know they played what my guests and I wanted.

I can't stand that song, and I don't know why.

If you don't ask for them to not be played, are they played automatically???

HATE I will survive, but since I used to be a competitive ballroom dancer, Mambo #5 brings me back to my perfect swing days, and Lets get loud is an awesome cha-cha (my favorite to cha cha to!!!!)

Does anyone feel like Bridezilla making so many requests for the music???

I do but it is soooo important. My DJ is great but he did try to convince me to allow at least 1 organized dance because people will 'expect' it and say the DJ sucked if he doesn't do anything.

I do not feel guilty asking for a play or do not play list. My band is very expensive. They will play what I ask them to play.

No line/group dances. People in tuxes and floor length gowns look ridiculous doing the chicken dance or Cotton Eye Joe. This is a wedding, not a sweet 16 or a Bar Mitzvah

No, because a bad song can really kill the mood!!!!!

We didn't have any organized dancing (even though I would've liked the Electric Slide we ran out of time) and our reception was great.

Now, if I may just complain about one particular group dance - The Cha Cha Slide. My DH refers to this song as 'Simon Says for Idiots'. Every time it's on he has me in stitches making fun of it.
