Re: Honeymoon registry

I'm doing it. I'm on honeymoonwishes.com. I liked them because they are the only ones who will give you the money whenever you want (paypal or check - your choice). The others won't give it to you until one week before which i personally don't think is very helpful since the honeymoon (at least mine) needs to be fully paid for six weeks before my wedding. They are also great communicators.

Re: Honeymoon registry

I registered at thebigday.com I like them because they are very nice and easy to talk to. Plus i like the website that you can make and your guests can go on and pick what they want to give money towards. you cute. they also charge like 7%. fi and I live together but in a small apt. so we need stuff for a house but also thought the honeymoon registry would be cute.

Re: Honeymoon registry

keep in mind though, with regard to the 7%, that its no different (at least in my opinion) than paying sales tax. And actually, they'd be saving a tiny drop of $$$ since sales tax is more than 7%.

I'm not sure people even realize they're giving you money not the, for example, couples massage so i don't think they'll care about the 7%. But, I could be wrong.

Re: Honeymoon registry

I think we're going to do one through Starwood Resorts since we're spending one week of our honeymoon at assorted hotels (W, Sheraton, Westin).

We are DEFINATELY doing this!!!! I think it's such a great idea. Besides, it makes the honeymoon that much sweeter knowing that you didn't have to pay for some of it!!
