Hello To All My Fellow Floral Terrace Bride's

How's the planning going? I still have a lot to do but I am not sweating it! I booked the church and Floral Terrace, and I am about to book the DJ tonight. I know what BM dresses I want my girls in I just have to get them there to get sized. I am going to probably look around this weekend for limo's and a florist.

Did anyone hear that they are renovating the area before the main dining room? I went there last week to look around and see what the place looks like during the holiday since it will be decorated for the holiday's for my wedding, and I asked if there will be any renovation's during my wedding time, and they said no but they will be putting in a beautiful marble floor in that hallway where they have the VH (right now there is carpet there). I was very excited because I think it will look gorgeous!

Is anyone getting any extra's added to their reception? I am probably going to do the VH and the 'to go' cart. I am debating about the cigar's and the seafood during the CH.

Hey!

I have FT, church and band booked and I have an appt. this weekend for video and photo.

Marianne had mentioned to me that they plan on doing some renovations and they would happen before my wedding. She said they are going to update the bathrooms upstairs like the one in the lobby. She also said they were putting new carpet in the ballroom.

I've added the VH and I think that's all I will add - I think they offer so much food that our guests will be leaving full!!!

I have to go visit FH again - I miss it!

I DID THE NY TO GO CART AND THE VH. I'VE BEEN DEBATING DOING THE SEAFOOD. DID MARIANNE SAY WHEN THE RENOVATIONS WERE GOING TO BE DONE? SHE HASN'T MENTIONED ANYTHING TO ME. IS ANYONE HAVING THERE CEREMONY THERE?

No, I'm not having my ceremony at FT - I'll be having it at a church in Queens. Marianne didn't specify to me when the renovations would take place but she said they would be completed by Nov. 2007 when my wedding is.

I was told the floor will be done by March of this year.

And I just called over to the FT and they are having the next showcase in March. Do you guys think you will be going to it? I would like to make it, although I will hopefully have everthing booked by then, but at least I will be able to see the new floor (if it is done).

I hope to have everything booked by March too but I may go just to check the place out again. I wonder if they will notify us about the showcase in March?

FROM WHAT I REMEMBER, THEY MAILED ME AN INVITAION TO THE LAST 2 SHOWCASES (FT AND SC). ALL THOUGH I HAVE MOST OF MY VENDORS BOOKED, I DO WANT TO GO. MAYBE I'LL SEE YOU LADIES THERE!

That would be nice to put a face with the names. It would be nice to see everyone there. The last I remember, they sent us an invitation in the mail. It would also be nice to see some of the vendor's that we are using. I love the FT, I am so happy with mine and FH decision! Marianne is the BEST!!!! She is so nice and really listens and cares about everyone!

Thanks for the info. That's weird that she said that about the bathroom because she told me that and on the Official FT thread all the girls there said they were supposed to be renovated too. Oh well, really doesn't matter to me either way.

I couldn't be more excited. I booked the FT last night... My wedding is in July of 2007. I am really happy with the place. I booked my church today also. Marianne is a sweetheart. She did say the renovations will be done in March marble floors outside the ball room which is really nice... They may even take out the rug in the ballroom and replace it with a diff rug but thats not a definite thing yet.
The show cases I was told is in March also. I will def be going to that. I am so relieved that I have the hall and church booked. I will start with the other stuff but now I can take a lil bit of time. yeah! I'm so happy to discuss with you girls...
