Calling all brides getting married at 5:30 pm and taking pics beforehand...

What is/was your wedding timeline? My hair and makeup person wants to start at 9am! I think I'll take pics starting at 1 or 2 until 4:30, and then relax. Does this sound similar to your plan?

Hi! I got married at 6, so not too far off from you. We started getting ready at 9 a.m., and we took couple pictures from 1-2:30, and then the group pics from 3-5 (with some travel time because we went to different locations for the pics). I was the one ready first and when I left, some of my girls weren't done getting ready yet. I had 6 bridesmaids, my mom, and my grandmother who all got their hair done by 2 hairdressers. Only my mom and I did professional makeup.

I am having the hair and makeup people come at 8 or 8:30....the limos pick us up to take us to various spots in Manhattan for pics from 12:30-3:30. We will get dropped off at the hall at 3:30 and we get married at 5.

Okay, thanks! I guess it is reasonable to start at 9am. We're only taking pics at the hall, but since there is more than one wedding at a time, I want to ensure we can get outdoor pics in front of JT and all the pics that I want.

So how did you work eating into your schedule with the makeup? Just breakfast?

I ate breakfast before the makeup artist and hair people got there, and then after I got my hair and makeup done, but before I put on my dress, I ate lunch. I just had to reapply my lipstick after I was done. I picked something that was easy to eat with a fork - pasta salad.

I'm getting married at 6 pm and my cocktail hour begins at 8:30 .... I was getting real nervous about the time frame for photos and was thinking of moving the ceremony to 4 pm? What should I do?

There's a huge difference between 9am and 12pm!

See i'd rather not sit around waiting. We're taking some before pictures of me and my bridal party at 4 and the photographer is taking some of the groom and his party at 4:45. That way after the ceremony, we can take a few of my FH and i, one group shot of the whole bridal party and then go to the cocktail hour. So why the need to get up so early? You know what i mean? I don't know. i could be wrong. I mean my FSIL got married at 2pm and she was up at 9am and she wasn't rushed at all. I don't know.

we took pics for 3 hrs before our 5pm ceremony.

The hair person came at 9:30am, makeup at 10:30 and the limo picked up myself and the BM's at 12:45pm so we could get to the hall by 2pm. I padded the whole day incase something ran over.

I ended up starting early not only so that I won't be rushed, but so that the bridal party won't be rushed, too. Since there were 9 people getting their hair done, and even though my BMs weren't getting their makeup done, they still had to change and put on makeup themselves, so I didn't want to rush it. Plus I was so excited the day of I was up at 8 a.m. anyways.
