Re: NWR: A Million Little Pieces

I've been hearing it ALL over the place. I read the book WAY before Oprah got her hands on it (back in 2003) and was psyched when she blew it up for him.

Now, I don't know what's going on! It's making me mad either way.

I also read 'My Friend Leonard' and loved that even more than the 1st.

Whether or not it's true or 'fabricated' it was a BRILLIANT book, both of them. He's a brilliant writer, to say the least.

But, if he lied to Oprah, then I've got a problem!

Have to read up on what's going on.

Re: NWR: A Million Little Pieces

I loved this book...I don't think I want to know if it is a fabrication.

I absolutely 100% totally agree with you on this one...I read the book, and even though there are rumors that that the story was fabricated I still think it was an amazing book and that Frey is an amazing writer...but I do think that people reading this book now will have a totally different experience than the people who read this book before the rumors.

Re: NWR: A Million Little Pieces

I read this as well and I was so disappointed. I loved this book and I also read his other book My Friend Leonard. Who knows what is true and what isn't anymore.

Re: NWR: A Million Little Pieces

James Frey is an amazing author and though some of his story may have been dramatized, it was by no means a complete fabrication.
Go read My Friend Leonard, it's also amazing~
