Hair and Make-up Trials (when to do it, possibly use Hair Expo in Oceanside)

Hmmm, I'm in a dilemma about when to schedule my hair trial. I was supposed to have a trial on Saturday at Hair Expo with Sabrina (make-up) and Richard (hair). I spoke to Richard today who made a vaild point about not getting my hair trial done until 1 month before because who knows what my hair will look like then. But, now I am confused because what if I end up not liking his work, and then I'm stuck....

I actually went there for a make-up & hair trial and I was not happy with the results at all. Just for me personally, I thought the makeup was way to much ( even when I explained in detail what I wanted) and the hair was something I could have done by myself ( but I went to someone else there not Richard). I would go before hand, just in case you are not happy you have time to find someone else.

The way I did it was I actually started looking for hair/makeup about 10 months before my wedding because it seemed like people booked up quickly. I went with the people whose did my hair/makeup the best at that point. About 3 weeks before the wedding, I had a final makeup/hair trial so that they could work with my hair as it was and my face (since I was tanner). It worked out really well that way.
