Buying songs other than from iTunes?

Does anyone know where you can purchase music online that will play in iTunes and on an iPod? I'm looking for a few songs and iTunes doesn't have them. I bought music from Walmart once but it came over in a format that iTunes and my iPod didn't recognize. Thanks!

Girl, Im in the same boat. Im trying to find another outlet, but there doesnt seem to be any. I was going to try yahoo, but they arent compatible with ipods.
I've heard limewire.com is ok, but I havent checked it out yet.
let me know if you find anything else.

I had to give up on that stuff after Kazaa caused all these random pop-ups on my laptop. But hey, if I can't find Crazytown - Butterfly on iTunes, what's a girl supposed to do but find it illegally somewhere else

Actually...and Thankfully...I haven't had any problems with limewire and I've had it for about a year and half now. We used it for our CD favors too. I also run SpyBot and AdAware once in awhile to keep things off my computer too. HTH.

I second LimeWire... My iPod is full of songs from them... And I havent had any pop ups or the such

I tried a long time ago and I found that itunes was the only one where I didn't have to take extra steps to get the file listed on my song list. Not sure if that makes sense. Anyway, I have also noticed the soemtimes I search a song on itunes, don't find it, but then I find it by browsing around the site.

Definitely Limewire. I've gotten all of my downloaded songs from there.
