I'm looking for shoes.....
Where can I find some nice pointy high heals for my wedding day? And when you purchase them ...where do you get them dyed? My dress is Ivory.Do they HAVE to be dyed?

Re: I'm looking for shoes.....
try sandy's shoes in massapequa. bring a swatch of your dress with you and they'll dye them.

Re: I'm looking for shoes.....
I don't have a swatch....when do I get one? I ordered my dress in December and its suppose to be in by March.....I thought I had to buy the shoes before the dress comes in so that I can do my fitting with it...I'm confused.
I'm afraid of the dying thing.....what if I find the shoes and they don't come out right.

Re: I'm looking for shoes.....
contact your dress store and ask them for a swatch.another idea is try dsw and stores like that once u get your swatch and bring it with u.
sometimes u just get lucky w/ the color!

Re: I'm looking for shoes.....
try craft shoes in commack, they have a great selection and will dye them for $6. i would try your best to get the swatch before your dress comes in and do the shoes before the dress is in bc i dont know how long it takes for the dyeing process. or you can just buy and ivory shoe and hope that the 2 ivory shades are not much different. they will be under your dress 99% of the time anyways, if they are slightly off in color nobody will notice but you! ~lacey

Re: I'm looking for shoes.....
try After Five in Port Washington. They have a nice selection and they'll tell you which shoes to steer clear of (ie - will hurt your feet) and which are most comfortable for brides. They'll dye your shoes and after your wedding, they'll re-dye them so you can actually make some use of something you wore on your wedding day again.

Hazels house of shoes in Bayside on Bell Blvd was great! They had a good selection right in the store and had good prices too.
