Spinoff of BRod-Cheng's Question---Flowers

I think prices for flowers these days are ridiculous! BUT, that being said, I'm still getting a bo-k of lavender roses for myself!

But for the BM bo-k's & the CP's, what are some less expensive alternatives?

I thought roses were cheap, but I think daisies, and carnations are cheaper?

From what I've been told, roses are up there with some of the more expensive flowers. BUT, I hope YOU'RE right, and not the others! (& by others, I mean people in my family, NOT anyone from LIWeddings )
