My parents have only had to make 2 payments so far and the balance is due 2 weeks before per the Contract.

We've made two payments also. I wish my dad would just pay what he is going to pay. so I can see the difference that is needed.

Second payment is do next month and then not again until 2 weeks before the wedding!

First payment was day of signing contracts.

Most places do not require full payment until 1 - 2 weeks before the wedding....since it is by the plate, they need to know your exact count, plus when you go for the final meeting with them, they need to know if there are any upcharges that you are going to be taking (ie: chocolate fountain - yummmmmmmmm, ice sculptures, etc). Most people only make 2 - 4 payments before the last big one. And they aren't that big in relation to the total cost.

Sorry to jump in, but we're in April, and we've only made 2 payments so far (have another one due next month and the only payment we have left after that is the final payment!!)

Even with all of the payments (including next month) we will only have paid about $4100, which is not even half of the bill!!!

So you are not alone!!!

Not me! They want a payment in Feb. and then the rest is due two weeks before the big day.
