Christmas 'beach' ornaments as favors at Crescent?

Okay... I keep switching my favors. lol. Now I'm thinking of having Christmas ornaments (I'm a CHRISTMAS FREAK!) for my Nov. 12th wedding... is that too early? I was thinking of getting clear glass balls with sand inside (not going TOO much with the 'wedding on the beach' theme, but it would be a nice touch for the Crescent wedding). I could write 'Sarah and Joe's Wedding - The Crescent Beach Club - November 12, 2006' on it. What do you think? I was hoping that The Crescent would have Christmas decorations up for my wedding... do they even put them up to begin with? I would LOVE to display the 'favors' on a Christmas tree! Please help me decide! oh... and I have NO idea who even OFFERS these types of ornaments! (that would be a good start!) Any suggestions?

Re: Christmas 'beach' ornaments as favors at Crescent?

You should talk to someone at the Crescent - I think a lot of halls put up their Christmas decorations after Thanksgiving and they'll leave them up for a few days after the New Year.

And I think that the idea for ornaments is cute and since Christmas is the following month, it would really work.

I LOVE it!
My wedding is on LABOR day, and I am doing ornaments! So I don't think it's too early!

I LOVE the idea of displaying them on a tree.

Ornaments are a great idea.

Most likely the hall won't be decorated yet for Christmas, most wait until after Thanksgiving.

Re: Christmas 'beach' ornaments as favors at Crescent?

Def talk to your hall. One of the halls we visited we asked about it being decorated for christmas and they said that if a bride requests it, they will decorate as early as Nov 1st. I think the ornament idea is a great on, we are giving them out as well. If you are thinking of making them yourself, the AC Moore has packages of clear ornaments. I don't know who you could contact to make them for you though.

Re: Christmas 'beach' ornaments as favors at Crescent?

My place put their decorations up right after Thanksgiving. So I'm not sure if any places will have their decorations up that early. You need to call Crescent and ask them.

I was also looking for ornaments for my favors. I have not seen anything that you described, but you never know what they will come out with.

Good luck!!!

Re: Christmas 'beach' ornaments as favors at Crescent?

Thanks everyone! I was even thinking of just bringing MY tree for them to put up that day... a little nutty, ya think?

thanks for all the advice... maybe making them WOULD actually be fun and doable... and a bit cheaper!

If anyone sees anything out there, please let me know!

Thank you all!
