Good places to go in August

Planning on leaving the first week of August for a honeymoon, but worried about the hurricanes? Can anyone recommend a tropical desination that isnt very hurricane prone? (Except for Aruba FH has already been there)

Turks & Caicos Islands (Providenciales). I have been there 3 times. It is extremely beautiful and there hasn't been many hurricanes to hit there. However, it is still the carribean and you never know. Its southwest of the Bahamas. I have been to a lot of places and if you like quiet beaches, this is the place. Its REALLY hot there in August!

Maybe Pacific Mexico, like Cabo or Aculpulco?

Curacao!!! FH and I went 2 years ago in late August. It is in the chain of ABC (Aruba, Bonair, Curacao) islands, so it is protected from the hurricanes! There is no almost rainfall, so you are certain to get perfect weather. If you do look into it, you have to stay at the Emerald casino Marriott. FM me if you want pics! One of the best hotels we have been to. Aruba would be great too weather wise, Curacao is just much less expensive for the same beautiful island. There are tons of great excusions as well!!! I am an August bride also, and we just booked our hm to Riveria Maya, Mexico
Many places have their hurricane season then,which happens to last for months..it's just a chance going then unfortunately We went to Jamaica last Sept. ,which was during hurricane season and it was beautiful the whole time that we were there!!
