I just made a beautiful wedding album through shutterfly for $81 after tax!
I dont see why so much money is spent through a photographer making albums, so I figured Id let you know how to save $ if interested.
(A friend did it and convinced me to try it. Hers was great! )
It was sooo easy to do.
1st I loaded pics onto shutterfly - free
2nd I chose the album I wanted (leather or suede)
3rd what type (I chose wedding)
4th pick what layout you want for that page
5th click on the pic you want on that page and drag, then just drop it into place!
6th If youd like to write anything on the page you fill in the text box.
The End! It was so easy! I should get it next week and Ill let you know how it comes out. It was so much fun!
I made getting ready pages, bridal party pages, ceremony pages, cake pages etc...

I've made them and they are incredible. But the paper is like magazine paper--not stiff like a photographer's book. I made one for the honeymoon. My FH took hundreds of pictures.

If I like it, Im gonna make albums for everything LOL
I figured the paper might not be as thick, but for the prices I was being asked itll do, if it ripped I could buy another and it would still be cheaper.
I think Im going to make albums for mothers day.

shutterfly saves your projects, too. so if you need to order another one of the same, you can. my mom bought one of their mini-books and she loves it. oh, and i bought a big canvas print. it was about $90 but it is so incredible, like a painting! i went to a scrapbook crop tonight, so i am all into pictures!!!!

I agree w/you
I made 2 albums on Kodak for our parents. they're a good deal for what you get but they are no comparison to the professional albums you get from photographers.

I dont think I can post the layout. Ill see if I can copy a few pages..
If I cant you can always go to shutterfly for free and mess around and see how you like it! I LOVE it!

I've seen a printed album from a friend at work who did one of a family outing. It came out great!! I want to do it also. This is my 2nd marraige and I wanted to have the albums made thru shutterfly,, and some pics for people to put in frames.

With the photographer, parent albums were like $400 a piece!
