How long does it take for invitations to come in once you order them?

My wedding is June 30th and I haven't even started looking for invitations. I am still working on finding a dress!! What is the drop dead date for ordering invites and how far in advance should I send them out assuming a June 30th wedding date??? Thanks!!

There are a lot of factors involved - whether or not they're in stock, custom-made, or it's 'busy' wedding season and others....

You should definitely start looking soon - and place an order no later than March.

True. Mine took less than a week but I've heard others taking months.

It took about a week for the fax proof to come in and then 2 weeks to arrive after that.

It depends on where you order them from. Ours took a week after we ordered them. We went directly through a local printer who specialized in jewish weddings. We had a lot of hebrew we added to our invitations.

Our wedding was in November and we ordered our invitations in August.

that's good news, i was under the impression they took 4-6 weeks to come in! what a relief!

Mine took a little over a week. I also assumed they would take 4 -6 weeks. So I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived

I'm getting married june 17th and we are ordering invitations this week. They are letterpress and the store said they take 6 weeks. I would start looking this weekend and if you can, order within the next couple of weeks.

I don't think they take long at all (I have heard it taking anywhere from 1-8 weeks), but I would order them no later than March 30th.

I've heard some where it takes a few months. Ours took 1 week! I was told to order ours 6 months in advance. It gave us piece of mind because you never know if there are printing errors.

You should have them out 8 weeks before your wedding, with an RSVP date at least 1 month before.

they told me it should be 2 weeks

We ordered ours last Monday... they told us the proof will come in 1-2 weeks, and the invitations will be printed 7-10 business days after that... so I would say a total of 4-5 weeks from ordering to recieving. SOme places take less, some more. I think you should leave yourself no less than 4 months before the wedding. Since most invites go out about 2 months before the wedding ,that gives you 2 months to order and recieve and address the invitaions, which really isn't much time when you think about it.

they told me they get them in about 10 days, so i was told to order in november/december
