Vent-Advice neeeed

Today was my first day at a new job. I just wanted it for some extra cash. My friends Mom is the boss and got me in. I HATE IT!!!!! What do I do? I am also going to school at night, and I am so tired!!!! I don't want to seem like a quitter, but I don't really need the money, so is it worth it? I talked to my friend and she said I am not giving it a chance and to wait and week and see what I think...What do you think girls?

I wouldn't make any decisions based on the 1st day. The 1st day is always the worst

I agree. the 1st day of the job I currently have was HORRIBLE! I came home and cried.

That was over 10 years ago, and I am still with the same company.

give it a chance.

i hated my first days at my jobs too! You can't ever tell from the first day. Give it time. I would at least give it a week or two.

I'm with everyone else. give it a week at least, you don't need the money but it will be nice when you get your pay check!!!

Yes. It'll get better because you're always learning so much the first day. Give it time and see what it's like in a few weeks.

Keep it up for a little while and then if you still hate it, you can quit. But it doesn't look good if you quit after only 1 day.

give it a month MAX....if not just let the mom know that you tried it but with the school load...its to tiring

I would try to make it through the week, especially since your friend's mom got you the job. If you hate it that much after a week you could always tell your friend's mom that while you really appreciate it, you bit off more than you could chew with the job, school, etc.
