the effing bar charged me $30 INSTEAD of $25....what the EFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They did the same to Anita!!! She was supposed to be charged $294 or something like that and got charged $365!!!

Dispute the charge with your CC company!

Did you include a tip in cash or a tip on the card? I'd call the restaurant first...when I worked at Uno's - servers did that stuff all the time.

ETA: Although I remember that happening to me before...the restaurant overcharged me $5 or something like that, but when the charge actually cleared though the bank, the charge was correct...they do that sometimes, but I would call and confirm.

this happened to me once-

was it your debt card- b/c they hold an extra 20% b/c of the tip- of you tipped in cash- they will unblock the money

call them first- I am sure this is what happened and it will be sorted out

'Tis true - sometimes there's a authorization charge that the bank holds onto b/c they want to make sure that (the restaurant) that there are funds to cover your bill.

The tip was included in the original amount of $321. I calculated everything. Jess you should have been charged only $25 which is what we all paid in cash and I gave to Anita bc she was charging it on her card. She was supposed to be charged $296 which would be the grand total of $321. Ask Anita to send you a copy of her receipt. She said yesterday that she has it. Then call the bar.

Damn that SUCKKKkkSSss!!! When I get a bill (in which Im paying the tip on a CC, I usually write $0 in the tip field and just hand them the cash. Unbelievable. People are slick, I swear.

well I checked my balance this morning and it is correct....they were 'holding' $365 but the actual charge that was charged was $296. Wait a day or 2 and see what happens....

it is weird I know but the right amount came out...It took 3 days for my charge to be right....

Sometimes this happens...there is a diner i go to near my office and one time i used my debit card there and when i checked my account when i got back to the office (i'm anal) it was for a totally different amount and even from one of their other restaurants!! W T F, I thought. I called them and asked what was up, and sure enough the next day the right amount was there. Weird.
