Re: Dress Shopping

Yes! Bring a strapless bra, and keep an open mind! You never know what you will like on you. I never thought I'd get strapless, but that is the style that looked best on me. Also, have fun!!

Re: Dress Shopping

Bring your camera (gotta try), some snacks and water, and wear comfy clothes since you'll be in and out of them.

Bring a friend who tells the truth. Someone you can trust and loves you but won't be jealous.

Re: Dress Shopping

Keep an open mind. Just because you don't like it on the hanger, doesn't mean you won't like it on you.

Try on a bunch of different styles, even if you don't think it will look good on you.

Yes, I forgot that one. Bring your camera because some places are nice and will let you take pics.

Re: Dress Shopping

Also, ask the sales lady to pick dresses she thinks will look good on you in your price range. They can have a great eye for this, since they have so much experience.

Re: Dress Shopping

Bring someone whose opinion you trust, a camera, and water. And be open to try on stuff that you usually wouldn't pick - you never know! Good luck, and have fun!

Re: Dress Shopping

Yes to all of the above.... and dont' go to like 8 places in one day. it gets overwhelming. I foudn I forgot about some of the dresses I tried on. When you only go to one or two places at a time it makes it a lot easier to make a decision,

This is SO true. I thought the bridal shop would have something to drink, but they didn't have anything. I was like a camel for the rest of the day.

Re: Dress Shopping

Wear a strapless bra, comfortable underwear, have an open mind, bring pictures of dress ideas that you like and most importantly plan on having fun. Don't let wedding planning get too stressful. You are about to plan one of the most important days of your life. Enjoy it!!

Re: Dress Shopping

Bring the strapless bra the first time i went i had to borrow one and it was the most uncomfortable thing ever.

Bring at least 1 liter of water, I brought a small bottle and it wasn't enough. trying on dress = a workout.

Keep an open mind and try on everything. I ended up falling in love with and buying a dress which was the exact opposite of what I was looking for. So even if you are like i dont think i'll like this try it on anyway.

Bring a camera, but most places wont let you take pictures. David's Bridal does though. I even saw one girl using video recorder taping the whole thing.

Re: Dress Shopping

bring pictures of dresses you like - don't expect to find them, but at least your salesperson will know the style you like.

shave your legs!

go after you've had your period - you won't feel bloated.

Re: Dress Shopping

Bring your own shoes with heals that are easy to slip on and walk in. Were nice panties, you'll be in your birthday suit quite a bit.
