Need Prayers today for my dad.....

I usually don't do this, but I am down in the dumbs today...My dad was hospitalized in May 2004 bc of an enlarged prostate & he had to have surgery to relieve some pressure he was having...The doctor placed him on medication to treat it & he is constantly going for check-ups.

He went for his 6 month check up 2 weeks ago & he had an elevated PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen)..Considering he is on medication, the doctor was concerned & sent him for another PSA test. That one was also elevated, which gives him a 70% of prostate cancer, so today he has to go for a Prostate Biopsy at 4.

Dad is so nervous & keeps telling me that this was not suppose to happen with 2 months to the wedding...So please, try to keep him in your thoughts & prayers today!!!

my dad had the same problem with the prostate and had srgery to make it smaller and he to gets tested every 6 months his levels have been good thank god, but be thankful that your dad gets tested because even if it is something I am sure he will be fine because of being screened so often, also they say that sometime the PSA test is not so accurate.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes!!! I am attempting to keep my head high today & not think too much about it!

I know that with him under doctor's care for 2 years, it is good that if there is anything, they caught it early...

I will definately update everyone when I know anything!!! Mom is taking it better then I thought but I know she is worried too
