Anyone going to or have been to a wedding @ the Ram's Inn, THe Pridwin or Sunset Beach Hotel in Shelter Island? If so, please, give feedback and/or pictures. THanks !!!

Re: Weddings in Shelter Island!
I went to a wedding at the Pridwin 4 or 5 years a go and it was fantastic. Even better, the pictures came out beautifully!

My ex lives on Shelter Island, and the Pridwin is beautiful, and the scenery is breathtaking. Good Luck.

Re: Weddings in Shelter Island!
I have been to a wedding at the Pridwin. The girls are right... the scenery is very pretty. My friend got some gorgeous pictures of her and her husband on the dock by the water.
But i have to say i did have a complaint about the place. I just felt like the room layout was odd. They had the main room to the left which holds most of the people, then the dance floor in the middle and off to the right was another room that you have people in. To us, it felt like we were so far away and at the childrens table (because we were so detached).
You had to get up out of your seat just to see anything that was going on on the dance floor. Plus the main seating area got served first. So we didn't eat until like 20 minutes after everyone else did.

Re: Weddings in Shelter Island!
my gma has a house in SI - and it's near Rams Head - I always fantasized that my wedding would be there, but I think the max is 80 guests, and since I'm limited to 230, and freaking out - it wouldn't work - it is a beautiful and special place to get married (I feel that Island is truly magical - we go there on occasional wknds in the winter just to get away from it all here!!!)

I think sunset beach is only open from May through Labor Day. Not sure where they'd have a wedding--it's more of a big restaurant/bar kinda thing. Very cool place though!!! love it!!

Re: Weddings in Shelter Island!
When I was looking for a place to have my wedding, I loved Michael Anthony's on Shelter Island. The food is fantastic and the setting in beautiful. Unfortunately, we decided to go out to Montauk instead.Welcome New Vendors
