What color shoes w/ this BM dress? PLEASE VOTE
Please refer to this link to my photo album...it's the first dress in the album. My BM dressWhat color shoes should the girls wear? The dress will be periwinkle, but the lace going accross will be stay black.

I like when the shoes match the dress exactly. It's a more complete look. If the girls complain that they'll never wear the shoes again if they are periwinkle, point out that they could always dye them black after the wedding is over.

I'd go for black, I think it will look nice with the black contrast against the periwinkle with the black wasteband and everything.Honestly, I think asking bridesmaids to spend money on dyable shoes is just a waste. And they really can't just dye them black, as the dye often rubs off when your feet sweat. With a long dress like that, it's really not necessary.

I think you could have them wear black b/c of the sash or silver b/c it'll be a close match & its a long dress. My girls are in a slate blue & I told them silver would be fine.

I like the idea of wearing black shoes. It'll be a class y look, and go well with the dress. I'm voting black.

Well, before we actually picked a dress...I knew I was going w/ peri so I figured silver would be nice. Now that we have the dress and it have the black lace I think we'll do black. My MOH said black is fine w/ her too.

I vote for silver because I feel like black shoes stand out when you where a different colored dress and I hate dyeable shoes because you only wear them once. I like the silver because they are subtle and delicate and you can always use them again.

I would say periwinkle unless they will all wear black strappy sandals.

BLACK! We ask and expect so much of our bridesmaids. We ask them to spend so much (sometimes a few hundred dollars) on a dress that, let's face it, they'll probably never wear again. As much as we like the dresses and maybe even they do, it's true that they will likely hang in the closet never to be worn again. I think the least we can do is allow them to wear shoes that they like and will wear again. Every woman has or needs a nice pair of black shoes, so let them wear black. I would bet that they'll all be much happier and will actually wear the shoes many more times than they'll wear the dress.

Black is going to be the easiest for all of the BMs plus they'll all be able to wear them again. I understand the arguement that you can re-dye dyeables after the wedding, but I find that they don't look as nice.

Since it is a long dress, I would not stress over this. I think silver would be best since it would not be drastic as black. and if the BM wear silver jewlry it would be a nice accent.Black would be my second choice. Having been a BM 5x, I despise dyeables. I have never found a place that would dye the shoes black. That has been my experience.

Since your wedding is in August, I say black strappy sandles. Any full closed toe black shoe would IMHO stick out like a sore thumb. I realize the dresses are long, but it is NOT true that you never see the shoes. As the girls walk up the aisle they will be seen. (there is a great picture of the shoes my sister's BM is wearing as she is coming up the aisle). If the girls don't want to wear strappy sandles, then dyed to match.Welcome New Vendors
