Re: mom ceremony at church
Ive seen it done but not just for moms but for grandmothers and other special family members toobasically the bride and groom leave the altar or chuppa and go down to kiss, hug, and offer their family members thanks and/ or the sign of peace
in the process, they give the ladies a white stemmed rose

Re: mom ceremony at church
A bit like the above post... many Catholic couples leave roses at the Virgin Mary's altar. I am havign a dozen roses and will pass one out to my mom and godmother, one to FH's godmother. (Unfortunately all four grrandmothers are deceased). Then we will leave the rest at Mary's altar in the church in memory of FH's mother who is deceased. We are doing this after communion. There are some beautiful 'Mary' hymns that are usually played at this point... your church cantor/organist could give you suggestions if you are interested in something like this. (We are doing Lady of Knock, an Irish song to the Virgin Mary... my parents are from Ireland.)Overall, I think it's a beuatiful gesture to the important women in your life.

Re: mom ceremony at church
you're welcome... I think it's a beautiful touch to the Mass... or if you're not having a Mass, you could probably do it after the Unity Candle or some other point after the vows. FM if you need song suggestions. :)Welcome New Vendors
