spinoff to which ring goes first...

ok so you are in the church and FH is going to put your wedding band on....

should your e ring be worn on the other finger and then after the church i put it on over ?

or b4 he puts it on i take off the ering then put it back on after the band????

or he puts the band on top of the ering and i switch it later in the limo????

Wear your ering on your right hand until after the ceremony is over

Re: spinoff to which ring goes first...

You can keep your e-ring with the wedding bands - when FH slips the band on, just have him slip the e-ring on too!

or

Keep your ering on your left hand. Just before the 'rings part' starts, put it in your right hand. After FH slips the w-band on, just pop the e-ring right back on top.

Re: spinoff to which ring goes first...

I have had this prob as well...b/c fh also bought me another ring i planned on wearing on my right hand. I think i have decided that i will keep my ering on and just switch them later.

I think there are no hard and fast rules here....so what will you be comfortable with???? personally there is no way im not wearing the other ring...it means too much....as long as the priest doesnt have a prob with my keeping my ering, thats what ill do!

Re: spinoff to which ring goes first...

Both of ShortyMcBrides solutions are good. I would probably just keep my e-ring with the wedding band. I don't know about you but when I get hot its hard to take my e-ring off so you don't want to be struggling up at the alter trying to get it off. And it could be even more special & 'blessing' if both rings are put onto your hand at that time.

Re: spinoff to which ring goes first...

A lot of brides wear multiple rings. After the ceremony, just add your e-ring onto your wedding band and put the other ring onto the finger that you usually wear it. Will it fit on another finger during the ceremony or can you just leave it off for the ceremony?

Re: spinoff to which ring goes first...

my ering doesnt ring on any other finger. it is too tight on my right hand and too loose on my pinkys.

i am going to have to wear it on the left hand.

Re: spinoff to which ring goes first...

I've always heard you wear your e-ring on your right hand...you can change after the ceremony.

Re: spinoff to which ring goes first...

I've hear wear it on your right hand which sounds like a great idea, but my ring doesn't fit on my right hand, so I think I will give it to my mother to hold in the box until after the church.
