I need honeymoon advice!!!

Okay girls... my FH and i are going to hawaii for 2 weeks, 6 nights in maui and 7 nights in oahu.

I pretty much have the itinerary set for maui and i posted a thread on tripadvisor.com about it. And a few people laughed at me so to speak.

Here's what i wrote...

'Okay so my future husband and i will be going to Maui for 6 nights & Oahu for 7 nights. So far, i have this planned for Maui. I figured i would only book one thing per day and things that wouldn't fill up the entire day.
While In maui:
-(Tuesday)we booked the Old Lahaina Luau at 5:15pm
-(Wed) captain steves snorkeling trip to Lanai 7:15-2pm
-(Thurs) Aloha Morning ride at the Mendes Ranch 8:15-10:15am
-(Fri)road to hana
-(sat) hike to Haleakala
We might also book Warren & Annabelles, do some Lahaina shopping, get a seaside massage at the Hyatt, spend plenty of time on the beach relaxing, and go with the flow to see where the day takes us.
Is there anything i'm missing or anything that is a must do that i don't have listed?'

Well some said that my trip was too packed and that i didn't allow time to sleep in. Well we get to maui on monday. We're not exactly the types to sleep the day away. In my opinion, if you're going to go to maui... why would you sleep in? Keep in mind i don't have much planned for Oahu so there's plenty of down time.

But my question is to all those past brides... what did you do? Should i change my plans?

if you are not the type to sleep in, and like to be very busy, I think you should be fine. when I go away, I get up so early. The only thing is I don't like to have every minute planned. Good Luck!

Re: I need honeymoon advice!!!

FH and I went to Hawaii in November. We went to Oahu and Kauai and didn't plan any excursions beforehand. I wanted to but FH didn't so we just decided the night before what we would do the next day. There are tour booths all over that you can book through. We also bought with us the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook and read it on the plane so we knew what we were interested in. Most mornings we ate breakfast on our balcony and just took it from there.
It really depends on how you like to travel. I personally like to have things planned but like I said FH doesn't so we just took it day by day and stopped by the tour booths for reading material and info. Then we decided from there.
Hawaii is AWESOME and you will LOVE IT!!!

I didn't mean that literally, I just meant I like to have a lot of down time

Oh okay. See with us, i could go go go or i could sit on the beach all day. It doesn't matter to me. But my FH can only sit on the beach for so long. And he definitely couldn't do that every day.
