I just did mine last weekend. I gave myself 4 months to give me time to shop around. Luckily she did a great job and I booked

Re: hair and makeup question
I started like 7 months before the wedding and I'm glad I did....I went through about 5 makeup trials and 5 hair trials before I booked someone!

Re: hair and makeup question
I did a few about six months ago. I changed my mind about make up so I scheduled another with my artist. I have it set the same day i have my hair trial.

Re: hair and makeup question
I started in August for my May wedding and the people I really wanted were already booked! So I would say it's never too early to start looking.

Re: hair and makeup question
I booked my hair and makeup back in september. I just went for a trial a few weeks ago. I am going to do another trial in teh summer, I have to let my hair get longer for the hair style I want.

Re: hair and makeup question
I know who will do my hair and my hair dresser said to go to her a few weeks before so it is fresh in her mind.

Re: hair and makeup question
I had my make up trial 7 months before the wedding. I waited a long time for hair but was thrilled to find April. I had my trial with her in the middle of Oct. or Nov.

Re: hair and makeup question
I did mine VERY far in advance (about one year), but only because the people I wanted were already booking dates close to mine.

Re: hair and makeup question
I started going on trials about 11 months before because I wanted to make sure that certain people were available for my date.

Re: hair and makeup question
I did my make-up trial already and I have my hair trial in 2 weeks- The good vendors book up fast so I would do it as soon as possible

Re: hair and makeup question
I had my makeup trial in early January (booked her on the spot) and I have a hair trial on the 12th. I'd recommend that you start looking only because my MU artist said that people are already trying to book her for 2007. A few people I've contacted have said that they're already booked for my date.

Re: hair and makeup question
I'm screwed! I haven't even had 1 trial yet. My first trial isn't until Feb. 24. I live out of state though, so this is the only time I'll be in NY before the wedding to get all the last minute details settled. I hope she does good work!Welcome New Vendors
