I would think its legit. I have seen a lot of the TV shows 'recruit' for new shows this way. I can't imagine it would hurt to call and find out.
Besides, you could be on TLC and you know we all love that channel. Plus, you could make some extra mulah for the wedding- get that chocolate fountain or photo booth you've been wanting

FYI- I dont work for TLC or anything, I just thought this could be cool for someone to get involved in. If I wasnt already living with FH for 3 1/2 years, I would definately check it out.

I would love to do it. However I dont know how comfortable I would be since I teach high school and all my students would probably watch it and harass me about it forever.

nah...15 mins come and go very quickly...heck, i forget somtimes i was even on tv..
My wedding was televised for the world (LIW) to see. It was fun and exciteing. We were compenstated with I lovely trip to Mohegun Sun worth probally about $1000+ Not sure how TLC channel works but Style Network is owned by E!. TV is fun and its something that you may never do again...so why not...

The video isnt playing on my ancient computer but that is awesome you were on Whose Wedding Is It Anyway? I love that show. Sad so I can't watch it often cause I dont have the Style Network. Which wedding was yours?

TLC shows have been known to recruit via Craig's list and the like. They'll compensate you with cash. The amount will be proportional to how much time you're with them and how much they intrude into your life. It may not be a lot! I've worked for TLC in the past, so I know a bit about how these things go.

I'm with you on this. I find it questionable because the email isnt a TLC email address. I would think they would have you respond via their company address - who knows.

what stations do is hire outside companies to film certain shows... this could be like a new show to the company. with out show, we never talked to Style Network directly..it was always another company (i forgot the name)

I don't know if it's legit or not, but TLC outsources to small production companies who do post on Craig's list and message boards looking for participants. Be careful and if you contact them don't give out too much personal information until you get proof that it's for real, but if you're interested I'd say contact them and let us know what happens!
