DIY Vday ideas?

Ladies,
In the interest of budget, we're not doing any gifts for Vday... but I can't let the day go buy without doing *something*... I want to make something.... thoughts??

Re: DIY Vday ideas?

We cook dinner together every year, light some candles, and put on romantic music. You could do that!

I agree. Or, if you get home earlier than him, have a romantic dinner waiting for him. Do you bake? Nothing says love like chocolate cake!

I agree with the chocolates and/or baking. One year I baked FH cookies and the next year I made chocolates. He loved them!!

Wrap yourself up in sexy lingerie. No better present than that.

Re: DIY Vday ideas?

Making him something is a great idea. What's his favorite dessert? Maybe you could make that. If he likes chocolate, try making him truffles. They sound hard but are the easiest things to make.

Re: DIY Vday ideas?

When I lived in LA for 6 months I made my FH cookies and sent them in the mail. I just made sure they were tightly sealed and Matt loved them when he got them. Also in the package, I made collage of picture of us. It's still up in his room today

Re: DIY Vday ideas?

What I did last Vday since didn't have enough money is I wrote on pieces of paper a thing I loved about him or our relationship starting on Vday and leading up to our wedding day. I wrote the date on each one and put them in a red box that I bought at Target and put candy on top. The whole thing cost me $20. DH LOVED it and it was so much fun each day for him leading up to our big day.

ETA: Where in MD? (We are in Northern VA)

My FH is a huge Letterman fan so last year I made him a top ten list of why I am so lucky.

I also baked him cupcakes...duncan hines- his favorite!

Sometimes it's just the little things.
