I'm trying to surprise my FH

Hey

I'm trying to surprise my FH with a romantic getaway for the weekend. Does anyone have a suggestion ???

There's a bed and breakfast in Mystic, CT that we love - it's called the Old Mystic Inn. Mystic is a really cute town and the b&b is cozy w/ some good restaurants around. Plus, the owner is a chef from the Culinary Institute of America and makes super yummy breakfast for everyone. Oh, and he makes homemade fudge and leaves it out in the kitchen for people to snack on - I'm totally taking tuperware next time

You should look into going out east. You could get some great deals at Gurneys and make it a little spa getaway. I know my FH loves massages and the rooms there are beautiful, right on the ocean.

There's a great B&B in Vermont, but you def have to stay 2 nights b/c it's a bit of a drive.

We had a great time at a weekend away at Mohegan sun. You don't even have to go to the casino, they have a spa there too.

how about a B&B in the hamptons? There are so many to choose from or a weekend getaway to the caesars pocono resort. They have pretty good off season prices right now

Awesome place -- the crowd is a little older but no matter because you'll spend most of the time in your room.

The rooms have jacuzzis, private pools, saunas, etc. the better the room, the more features. I like the garden of eden apple. of the four resorts, Paradise Stream is probably the best because of its small size but Cove Haven has the most activities.

Your room rate includes breakfast (can be delivered in bed) and dinner daily.

If you're a AAA member i think you get a discount.

I went with FH last year for Valentine's Day weekend and it was the best 3 days we ever spent together. We stayed at Cove Haven and had the Juliette Room - it was like something out of a fairytale. You'll be spending most of the time in your suite

but if u do decide to venture out there's tons of stuff to do: comedy club, dancing, ice skating, snowmobiling, arcade etc. We've already decided we're spending our first Valentine's Day as a married couple at Cove Haven...u should definitely look into it
