guest sign in book/pic frame/sheet or wish bowl or both?

ok, so I see things for wish bowls and I see guest sign books and photo frames and stuff..

do you do one of these or both...meaning, does one cancel the other out.

if you have your guests signing in on something, do you also do the wishing well or bowl whatever...?

I say, one or the other. You'd be lucky if more than half the people sign the one thing.

At least in my experience, not everyone remembers to sign.

I think either one or the other is enough. I am going with the sign-in mat.

Re: guest sign in book/pic frame/sheet or wish bowl or both?

At my HS graduation party I had my yearbook, a photo album, and a stuffed dog for everyone to sign. It was waaaaaay too much!!

Lesson learned, just go with one thing. We're doing the wish bowl and then after the wedding I'm going to put the 'wishes' in a photo album with some non-professional pics. It'll be our unofficial album until we get the real one from our photographer.

I'm doing a satin guest book, no frame or wishing bowl. They get to pick up their wedding favor, and sign the book at the same time!

Re: guest sign in book/pic frame/sheet or wish bowl or both?

I like the wish bowl idea. I think that a lot of times people don't sign the books...maybe if they see something different like the wish bowl they'll be more likely to write a note. If you want something with a picture you can do the photo mat and the wish bowl, otherwise I would probably just stick to one.

the wish bowl is supposed to cancel out the sign in book but we are doing both.

Re: guest sign in book/pic frame/sheet or wish bowl or both?

i am doing a photo guest gook. I am making my own because the others that I have seen would have cost 150 or more to cover everyone that we are inviting. But anyway, each guest will have one page to themselves and a picture of them will be taken and placed into the book and there will be room for them to sign the page or write a special message, their preference. It's a little more complicated than most but it will be great to look through and have pics of all of the guests as well.

I don't know if I am doing any. I'd be afraid some of my moron coworkers that drink to much would write immature things.
