Gotta Love the Excuses People give you...

I'm just going to copy the convo b/w me and my mothers cousin who jsut Im'd me right now..bc i think she is just sooo stupid:

mothers cousin: listen, we have a small problem here, for your wedding.
me: what?
her: someone has to stay here to watch my father in law
her: i am thinking Jess will volunteer,
her: since she won't bring her 'girlfriend' anyway
her: are you upset about that?
me:yes
me: i hope she doesnt think she cant come w/her girlfriend..cuz no one cares about that
her: no, it's just that my father in law can't walk the dog

Yeah - peope really s*ck! On the day of my brother's wedding my step-brother didn't show up, just his wife (they RSVP'ed that they were both coming) and she said he had to stay home to give the cat insulin shots! I mean, did the cat just develop diabetes overnight or something?

At my friends wedding last year her FIL & his wife left right before the reception to go walk their dog. C'mon now...the dog can hold it and if not, oh well, you have to clean up a bit. Geez. She was so pissed! They missed the whole entrance into the reception.

Umm, she has to miss your wedding becuase she needs to stay home and walk the dog. WHAA?? People are crazy I tell you. Just breathe and move on.

What are you surprised at? Stupid ppl say Stupid things! My SIL (DH's brothers wife) did NOT attend our wedding because her cat suddenly got sick & she added 'plus, I'm starting a new job Monday..lots & lots to organize' .. ummm, our wedding was Saturday,I'm sure by Monday you can finagle a scheduale of some kind

If ya gonna lie & come up with a halfa$$ed excuse..just say nothing at all & reply 'regretfully decline'..end of story! Because now forever when you think of that uncle/cousin/girlfriend...you'll also think of the 'walk the dog excuse'.. you will FOREVER associate them with stupidity.

P.S. my SIL could die tomorrow & I wouldn't attend the funeral because 'who would feed my fish?' ..I know,I know.. I hold grudges.
