How long before the wedding should I book the rehersal dinner

I would call the restaurant you want to have it at & ask them if there is a standard time frame...Considering Friday nights are a popular 'Party night' I would think you would have to do it relatively soon

I booked mine almost 9 months in advance. If you have the time and know when you want it, do it now! Sometimes it hard to get space for that many people on Fri or Sat nights.

I first asked how long my wedding rehearsal would be and they said 45-60 minutes at the Church, so we scheduled that with the Church first and then make reservations for a restaurant near-by for those attending. I did this 3 weeks ago for my wedding in September.

I would try to book it like a month and half in advance. This is what I did.

FIL booked our RD 3 months in advance. I think there was only 1 private room left that could accommodate us. If it's a popular venue, I'd book it 3-4 months before the wedding.

Crazy bride that I am, I have been collecting schedules from OOT BP members for a week to book my RD now.

Now that I have all the OOT info, I need to check with my judge and make sure he can make it! If so, I'll be booking by the end of next week.

I think it depends on the restaurant...we're having it at the Waterfront Crab House in LIC and we were told to book 2-3 weeks in advance.
