who is buying clothes (when you should be saving $) and hiding them from FI!!!

it's so funny because I always just bought what I wanted.. now i have to watch it and I feel guilty!!

I did not hide them but I did not go out of my way to admit that I purchased as much as I did-but then I came cocoa and he did not care.....

I was just talking to FH about this yesterday...he gives me a hard time about spending $$ on clothes, hair, etc....he is a typical guy...he just can't understand the $$$ I spend on certain items, yet he takes snowboarding vacations, etc. with his boys all the time....


so, yes, I often go shopping and hide the clothes from him because I just don't want to get into it.

Oh my...I just did. My office building is across the street from Roosevelt Field. I hide the bags in my car. Gotta take advantage of this tax free week.

i definately do, although not as much as I used too and he still buys me clothes because of losing weight and nothing fits anymore!!

I've been pretty good about clothes shopping recently but, I've been spending a lot of money on our new apartment. It's bad because it's on our joint Amex card (didn't think it would be an issue) and now he analyzes my purchases. There wasn't anything he could get mad at on there, there were just a lot of things that added up!

At least I've learned before my latest spree to use my own card

I just did that they other day!!!!! They're in the closet in a bag as we speak!!! Old Navy was having a sale, and I only spent $45... I saved over $70!!!!!

I just buy them- I pay all the bills so I know how much we spend and could spend soo he doesnt mind at all- he likes going out and buying things too! were shopaholics

me tooooo - and i went shopping last weekend for me 1st time since i got engaged - to return a xmas gift i didnt want - and ended up spending xmas $$ and it felt sooo goood - i wanna go shopiing again!!!! but cant cant cant!

I do this all the time when i buy clothes. MY FH hates when i spend money on things he deems frivoulous.

FH is the exact same way!! I'm not hiding my purchases but I just don't feel like getting into it. Whenever I order online, I ship it all to the office. Just like the many other women here....

Date Twin. OMG. I have the same thing going on. We got a joint Amex and he scruitinizes all of my purchases. I had to get a secret card on the DL so I can buy stuff without him asking me about it. Exactly, just like you, nothing to get mad over, but it adds up. I was like you wanna eat? Then I need to go food shopping. So just to spite him b/c I was getting upset. I gave him back my AMEX and told him he had to gas up my car, go to the supermarket, get prescriptions filled at CVS, etc..etc. I got that card back real fast and I haven't heard a peep out of him.
