table numbers

Has anyone made their own table numbers? If so, would you mind sharing how?

Re: table numbers

I made mine last weekend with metal wire and crystals. I twisted the wire and added a handful of swarovs for some more sparkle. I wanted something different and pretty. I'm going to have them hung on the cps. No pics yet.

Re: table numbers

These are the ones I made. I bought cyclinder glass vases at Micheal's for $2.50 and about 2.5 inch candle for a dollar also at Micheal's. FH create the templete which we printed on vellum paper which we glued to the middle and then used 7/8' inch ribbon which covered the rest of the vase perfectly (no cutting!). I can email the template if you would like it.

Re: table numbers

Sabrina,

Just be careful with the glue. I recall someone gluing their votive placecard holders together and after some exposure to the heat, they fell apart. You may want to use double sided tape instead.

Re: table numbers

ok so I made mine but I haven't been able to get a good picture! I'll try again tonight. I am doing table names instead of numbers. I used permanent double sided tape and it's holding great!

Question though I have two different types of candles I tried one a thinck 3' candle that fits alomst the entire circle of the vase but only comes about 3/4' high. This candle blocks the glow effect on the bottom of the vase so I don't really like it but I'm wondering once it starts to melt down it will be perfect and these candles alst 30 hours. The second candle I have is a votive in another holder they only list about 4 hours not quite long enough for the entire night but the glow effect it makes in the vase everyone loves!!!! What candle did you use? What do people suggest???

Re: table numbers

We took photos holding table numbers up and framed them and put them on the tables. People went crazy over them and even took some of them home.

Ill post a photo as soon as I have one to share.

Re: table numbers

I just bought cardstock and printed them out. We put our monogram as a watermark and then wrote the table number. I got a snowflake hole puncher and punched a snowflake in the corner. I then got frames for $1 at Dollar Tree. They came out great.
