New Hyde Park School District??

Does anyone know how the New Hyde Park- Garden City South school district is? We are considering looking in that area but I want to know about the school district first.

Re: New Hyde Park School District??

I have heard its a great school district. Do a search on newsdays website for schools - and you can search the school report card for any school on LI.

My wifes great uncles house, which is in New Hyde Park is for sale.
See it here

Re: New Hyde Park School District??

Hi! It's New Hyde Park - Garden City Park school district. It is a K-6 (elementary only) school district. After that you go to New Hyde Park Memorial which is part of the Sewanhaka Central High School District. The elementary school district is a decent district. NHPM is a good high school too. The main thing that you should realize in this area (New Hyde Park, Garden City Park, Elmont, Floral Park, Fraklin Square, Garden City South) is that you are going to be paying taxes for TWO school districts . . . elementary and high school. Garden City South is part of Franklin Square K-6 school district. After that you go to Carey High School. Again, decent district, but TWO school taxes.

Hope this helps ! !

Re: New Hyde Park School District??

i'm a realtor and almost all of my buyers ask about school districts. licensed realtors are not allowed to give their opinions on school districts or about the neighborhood so i always advise them to visit www.greatschools.net and they can get all of the information that they need. check it out...

Re: New Hyde Park School District??

Taxes aren't too bad in the area; you aren't really paying two taxes. They are combined.

I live in the Floral Park/NHP area.
