Bridesmaid gifts - jewelry? - help!

Bridesmaid gifts - jewelry? - help!

I'm thinking of getting my girls necklaces to wear to the wedding...since it's really the piece of jewelry that shows the most, that way there's less chance of them looking way off...and I think it's a nice gift and remembrance.

I'm having trouble finding something simple and classic that fits all of their styles. I want white gold or silver, something with a little sparkle - maybe diamonds or crystals.

My girls will be in navy - so I though sapphires might be a nice way to go too. ...or maybe a pearl pendant?

What do you think of these two pix? I think I'm leaning away from the sapphire one.

I have to vote for the 2nd one. I feel that with navy dresses, the sapphires would be too much blue (IMO). I like how the second one will stand out and add a beautiful sparkle touch.....

I vote for the sapphire necklace. It is very pretty and your BMs should definitely be able to wear it again.

I had that same concern...too much blue...and if they're a little off in color - it could look funny. Also, the shape is kind of odd...I actually went to the store and put one on myself...not sure I loved it. I still have to go see the diamond one...it might be very small...which is okay - but I don't want it to look silly.

Thanks to everyone for your help....I'll have to keep my eyes open.

I had my bridesmaid jewelry custom made and they all loved it. They have all worn both the earrings and the necklace again!
