Ummm yeah...We changed our wedding plans back...

Well we were trying to do the right thing by changing our plans and doing a smaller, less traditional wedding but it seems that is not to be. The change in our plans caused huge problems with my FH and his family, to the point where he is not speaking to them right now. So basically, our intentions (although sincere) backfired on us so we're going back to Plan A and getting married in November and we really don't care if either families attend or not. I'm completely embarrassed and want to apologize to all of you ladies for the back and forth. I just want to be happy and get married!

Theresa, no need to feel embarrassed!!!

You have to do what is best for the 2 of you and NO ONE ELSE!!!!

If this is what makes both of you happy, then do it. And don't worry about flaky relatives on both sides. Things will find a way to work themselves out in the long run.

You have NOTHING to be embarrassed about! I hope you are happy with this decision. I think you have a great attitude about the whole situation. Just remember in the end, you will be married to an amazing man.

Thanks everyone. Hopefully this will be the end of our wedding drama for a while. We're basically not involving anyone else (except my MOH) in the wedding planning process. So 9 mos from tomorrow, I will be a wife. Will it EVER get here? Thanks again, Ladies. You remind me why I'm so happy to be a part of the LIWedding community.

i know what you mean...now that fh sees how much work and money is going in to this circus, he's starting to see that my remarks about takinga vacation in hawaii and returning married and then just having a fabulous party isn't so wacky anymore! i'm with you...i just want to be happy, married and happily married...not obsessed with the details i now find myself sorting through daily.
