my invitation wording...

OK so, my dad is paying, my parents are divorced (dad is remarried, mom is not), mom is buying my wedding dress and FIL's offered their help to pay but we didn't take any $$ yet. How do we word these invitations??

Would it be horrible to to make it from ourselves if no one minds? Heres what I'm thinking:

The honour of your presence
is requested
at the marriage of
Dana Renee K-----
to
Doctor Charles Mathew L---
on Saturday, the twenty-eighth of October
two thousand and six
at three o’clock in the afternoon
St. Matthew RC Church
Dix Hills, New York

Re: my invitation wording...

Hmmm.... I think you have to include them - if your dad is paying and his parents are likely to chip in, you really need to alter the wording.. If you do a Google search on Invitation Wording a TON of stuff comes back - here are just a few... some of the sites actually break down the divorced parents scenario as it's own group so it's easier and quicker to find.

Even something as simple as saying:

Together with their parents
Dana Renee K-----
and
Doctor Charles Mathew L---
request the honor of your presence....

Hope it helps...!

Re: my invitation wording...

i don't think you should have the 'doctor' in your fiancee's name. it's usually only the names, not the titles.

if you have his, you should have yours.
