Repost from '07 board: what details are u including in your wedding to make it unique?

I've been thinking about this since the day I got engaged. I definitely want a traditional wedding and since FH and I are 100% Italian we'll be incorporating many Italian traditions in the wedding as well, but what details are u girls including in your wedding that will make it original? I'm stumped for ideas...all I have right now are personalized menus, monogram cake topper and save the dates. Are u girls doing anything that you haven't seen done at other weddings?

My card box (copied from sweetheart 103005fallbride), my nieces and nephews being page bearers, sand ceremony, calypso band at cocktail hour. Probably more, but I can't think of em!

I think table names are a good way to personalize. We are going to use wines for our table names because we are really into wine. It is just a little kind of unique thing about us.

*I just had two of my 17 year old ushers hand deliver my invites to our local guests in top hats and tails ( I'll have pictures later)

I'm having a BLACK peronalized aisle runner to match my black & white theme.

My wedding party is doing a choreographed dance at the reception to 'Step in the Name of Love' by R. Kelly.
