Re: what weight loss plan is everyone using

I have my own as as well. It's called The Put the Fork Down Diet or PFDD for short.

I did it last night at the Chinese restaurant. All of a sudden I realized I was full. I put the fork down.

Working so far.

Re: what weight loss plan is everyone using

Hmmm - trying to:

1) Eat smaller meals throughout the day
2) Reduce soda/Increase water intake
3) Eat good carbs and proteins
4) Eat a smaller dinner
5) Try not to eat w/in 3 hours of going to sleep
6) Cardio 4x per week PLUS weight training

I haven't lost any real weight, but I have lost an inch off my waist (which sadly I was already happy with - damn butt hasn't shrunk though!)

It is very hard. My boss is doing the zone diet. She is loving it because she doesn't have to think about anything.

I've lost 14 lbs. I tried on my size 12 skinny jeans the other day and even though they are far from closing, I got them over my hips. that didn't happen 2 months ago.

That is my gauge. The scale is my enemy. I over did it over the last few days since I was homebound due to the snow so all I did was eat. Back to work so now I have control.

It is hard...there's no doubt about it. If anyone tells you it's easy they are lying! It's an everyday struggle..every meal every work out. That's why we have each other...

Re: what weight loss plan is everyone using

I am in week two of the nutrisystem diet. I have probably lost close to 5/bs but some of the food isn't that great. I bought the food for 4 weeks so I feel obligated to stick with it.

Susan...I love you! You always know how to put a smile on my face!

I'm kind of following this rule too.

Basically...think calories in...calories out. Working out if VERY important in weight loss, but eating right is required.

I did the 'fad diets'...they worked, but it wasn't something long term. I would lose the weight, but once I introduced something that was out of their suggested foods I blew up!

The only thing that made sense was WW, but I hated that they were strictly lbs oriented. I joined the same time as another woman and she lost twice as much weight as me, but no inches. I found this to be very discouraging because she was getting the rewards, but I toning up. Sounds crazy, but it true.
I've worked out a schedule with my gym to get weighted, measured, BMI & Body Fat percentage every week then gradually go to twice a month. I need the push of being accountable for what I put in my mouth and how much I exercise... I just started, but I'm so very motivated...FINALLY!

Re: what weight loss plan is everyone using

I use LA Weight Loss, but then again I used to work for them. I just do the foods though, nothing else. So my food intake is based on my workout time and my lifestyle plus my medical history. Just good ole' food and water for me!
I personally found this works for me, however there are great ways to do this. Originally when I lost the weight I did it alone.
I say if you find something that works then do it and incorporate excersize!
