I FINALLY did my album..

Only 9 months after the wedding.. I finally moved out of slacker mode and got it together to pick the pics and meet with the photographer to do my album.. Not easy. Now I can't wait to get it!!

Honestly-- it s*cked to the bitter end, and the price tag didn't help.. but, after seeing everything laid out- I got all excited..

Mine is taking FOREVER!!!!

it took me a while to get there to do it, but it is taking a year to complete.

and two of my dvds don't work!

I'm sure it will be stunning.

NC is great - loving being a student and getting to wear sweats to class! not missing the corporate OR the restaurant worls AT ALL! Missing shopping in NYC though... strip malls just are not the same.

Just out of curiosity, how long did it take all of you to send out your thank yous? It sounds like I might be in the procrastinators chat room. Which is exactly where I belong!! I haven't even ordered or started writing my thank yous yet. It makes me nervous! I feel like people are probably thinking where the heck is my thank you!

I actually did do my thank you's within 8 to 10 weeks of the wedding.

We just had our list and banged them out-- I did my list and DH did his.. We sat and did them in front of the TV and probably got them done in like 2 or so hours.. I knew this would be something hanging over my head so, I just had to get it over with otherwise I would have just stressed about it.

Now, it's the gifts that came in late-- that are a b*tch to get out..

Glad to hear you are doing well!

I would sooo love to get out of the corporate world-- I work like 10 to 12 hour days at my new job and hate it.. and I can't post on LIW/LIF at all! Just too damn busy.

That's what I did-- I made an appt initially in Jan, then had to push it back cause I just ran out of time...

I do have a suggestion-- I bought proof albums so it was easier to see everything laid out...I found these great ones on the internet that were like $14.95 each. I organized the pics into categories, and by chronological order. Then I went through and just stuck a small post-it on each pic I liked-- then, counted them up.. I kept editing until I got down to a reasonable #. Also- when I met with my photographer-- I ended up adding in a couple more pics- since they made suggestions as to things that were not represented. Be prepared to spend more $$.
