Wedding/Birthday Gift Idea

FH and I have the same birthday, Nov. 3rd....we are getting married on Nov. 3, 2007 so it will be both of our birthday's on our wedding day.

I want to get him some sort of a surprise and possibly present it to him at the wedding. I know the grooms cake could be an option, but I'm thinking that may be too much cake since we'll have the wedding cake as well as a full viennese hour.

Do you have any ideas?

He's a College Athletic Trainer so he works in sports and loves them all, even though he really doesn't play any. He is a huge Yankee, Giant and Rangers fan and he loves to play texas hold em.

Maybe season tickets to something? Baseball, basketball, football? I don't know what he likes... maybe an iPod with all 'your' songs already on it? Maybe a gym membership? Or sky diving lessons on your honeymoon... or something else less risky, but just as exciting? hmmm... does he do cigars? Maybe you can surprise him by having a cigar roller there? I trying to think... hmmmm.

edited for the Texas Hold 'Em info... a Texas Hold 'Em table! But I think it would be tough to present it to him at the wedding!

You could have each of your BP wear a different sports jersey and come in holding something different in reference to cards...
Exampleyankee jersey - a nice chip set
Jets jersey - cigars
Yankee jersey- cards
another with his favorit eliquor...
a whole guys night playing cards theme...
and then you can say something like I promise one night a month I wont complain about card night.

I LOVE this idea! I may even get this for my guy, since our wedding is 5 days before his b-day! It's a framed photo of Yankee Stadium with your names or his name written on the Scoreboard! So, it can say... 'The Yankees Welcome Mr. and Mrs. CHELLNYC' (with his last name, of course! I think that would be soooo nice! I'm so doing this myself! It would be a nice b-day gift, would look great hanging in your house, and announces your names as a couple on your wedding day! How cute!

Love this idea!!!!! He already planned that when we have our house he's going to have a Yankee room in it because he already has a lot of signed Yankee memorabilia to hang up. I knew you girls would have ideas for me - your the best!!

Awwwwwwwww how nice is that, that you and Fh have the same bday and getting married on that same day, thats cool!!!!!!!!!! Are you having a band play at your wedding, maybe you can surprise him by singing a song for him or you can write him a song?? Does he like cigars? maybe you can have a cigar roller there

Thanks for bringing the ideas to my attention too :)

FH is a BIG sports fan as well. his bday is 3 days before our wedding. I was debating on buying him season tickets for the Mets but thats probably going to be near impossible because of how expensive and hard to get they're going to be with the new stadiums.

Other than that I was thinking about doing a special cake at the RD.
