Bounced check

My friends got married last month and a guest's check bounced. To top it off, this guest is getting married in the summer so they'll likely expect the same gift. What's the right thing to do? Do they tell them it bounced or just let it go and give them a small gift for their wedding?
It's also possible that only the person who wrote the check knows it bounced and not his fiancee.

The check will come back to them. I'm sure before the wedding this summer it will get resolved. If they don't say anything within another week, I would bring it up. After all, it is costing them a fee and that's just not acceptable.

I work for a bank, they will recieve a letter in the mail informing them that there check bounced. The check is allowed to be deposited twice. So they probablly will call your friend when they get the letter.

it amazes me how irresponsible people can be! I once got a check for $25 as a gift and THAT bounced.

my uncle and his biotch or a wife bounced a check that they gave fh and i for our e-party..i knew that they were being overly generous.. i made my dad call him and tell him.. he wrote us a new check but we made my parents cash it, but didn't give us the fee that the bank charged us for him bouncin a check
