Anyone going to Mexico for their HM in October or November????

We're postponning our honeymoon and we're currently booked for Secrets Excellence in Mexico May 1 - May 8.

We'd like to keep everything the same, but just change the dates to October or November.

I know it's Hurricane Season for the Carribean and no one can honestly predict the weather, but if it's better to go earlier or later or vice versa.

We're going to Cabo for our HM (hoping to book tomorrow - yeah!). B/c Cabo is on the Pacific side I have heard teh chances of a hurricane are slim to none...As for the other side of Mexico, i think November would be a safer bet if you have teh option to choose.

November- Oct might be too risky

are you going to do anything after the wedding? or does Ricky have to work b/c it's baseball season?

I'm still going to take that week off, and move us in. He'll take a few days off, but yes, he has baseball to attend to!

sounds like a good plan- you'll have plenty of time to get settled with out having to stress

We we are staying at Secrets Excellent in Riviera Maya Mexico....but its at the end of September. I know, I know....taking a chance with the weather...but we are gamblers.

Just be careful, although the chances of hurricanes are slim..becasue you are on the west side, you are in the typhoon range...at least that is what my travel agent said. never hurts to ask.

Chris, since you're postponing the HM, maybe now you can go to Royal Hideaway like you originally planned? Just a thought. I know if you did it through Apple Vacations, you can get the credit towards another vacation.

But sorry we now won't be there at the same time.

I guess me and Aida will have to hang out on Cinco de Mayo without you!

I know that you can never guarantee weather but everyone I have spoken to who has been to cabo (and many in october) have had wonderful, picturesque weather

I was looking forward to all three of us being together so we can talk about how great our weddings were. Lunch sounds great!!! We'll def. miss you though.
