Stupid question of the day

What is a groom's cake? Am I supposed to have a separate cake at my wedding for the groom? Sorry to sound dumb, I just have no idea about this

TIA

Re: Stupid question of the day

a groom's cake was originally a southern tradition as an edition to the wedding cake that represents a part of the groom's personality or something that he likes.
it offers guests a different choice than the wedding cake and it's a nice surprise for the groom. my fh LOVES wine so i am going to have them re-create his fave bottle with grapes all around it filled with his fave filling and dark choc icing..mmmmm.

Im doing a replica of Giants stadium... Not the ones that have been on here- Actually printed a pic of real GS and they are making that! People say it can be done at RD but Im spending alot of $$$$$$$$$$$. so Im going to have it at the reception- We worked it that once we cut the wedding cake they will bring out the Grooms cake- I can't wait to see the look on his face!

Yes -though I thought that people got to take home a piece of the groom's cake?

Either way, it's not necessary for the RD or the wedding, Stephanie!

Depending on how well the Giants are doing in 2007, I'll either have a Giants cake, or a Mets cake!
